Freight

Xavier Furniture Outlet can assist with booking freight for trade clients; however, deliveries remain the responsibility of the client. We recommend being onsite for delivery and arranging freight insurance, including cover for loss or damage. Please keep all packaging and note any freight damage with the carrier on arrival.

Freight fees cover delivery only and do not include installation. Installation can be quoted on request prior to dispatch.

Collection of goods

• Full payment is required before dispatch or collection can be scheduled.
• Allow at least 48 hours' notice when collecting from our warehouse.
• For bulky showroom collections, bring appropriate transport protection and your own team to load our staff cannot assist for safety reasons.
• Goods can be held free of charge for 14 days after client notification; storage beyond this period incurs a $10 per cubic metre, per day fee.
• Your nominated carrier will sign a packing slip at collection acknowledging the order is received in good condition.

Construction

Xavier Furniture timber pieces are predominantly manufactured from sustainable, plantation-grown mahogany that is kiln-dried for stability. Dove-tail joints are used on drawers, and many designs feature hand-carved detailing.

Painted pieces incorporate MDF for its superior resistance to weather and humidity—an intentional choice to enhance durability, not a cost-saving measure.

The collection also includes a wide range of sustainable-friendly rattan furniture.

All partner workshops bring decades of furniture manufacturing expertise to every piece.

Finishes

All timber stains are sealed with a Nitrocellulose clear coating for a resilient, premium finish.

Warranty

Xavier Furniture Australia provides a 1-year domestic warranty. Liability for any product ends one year from receipt of goods, regardless of whether the claim is contractual, delictual, or otherwise.

Product Care

Use the following care guide as a reference and always test polish on an inconspicuous area first.

• Polish regularly with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth, working in the direction of the grain.
• Walnut, Black, or Chocolate stain: use Marveer polish or Howard Products wood polish.
• Flax finishes: avoid cleaning products; wipe with a slightly damp cloth.
• White pieces: apply a small amount of Mr Sheen Furniture Polish. For scuff marks, use Gumption lightly on a soft cloth.
• Wrought iron pieces: apply Inox Lubricant two to four times per year, depending on exposure.
• Natural teak: refer to the Portofino product listings for care instructions.
• Use tablecloths or placemats to protect tabletops.
• Avoid positioning furniture in direct sunlight.
• Keep furniture away from heating and cooling outlets; maintain room humidity (a vase of water can help timber retain moisture).
• Avoid placing furniture directly under windows.
• Do not place plastic materials directly on surfaces, as some plastics may react with the finish.
• Add a glass top for extra protection where heavy use is expected.
• Clean spills promptly. Liquids, alcohol, perfume, nail polish, aftershave, and certain medications can damage finishes if left unattended.
